We’re watching rising star Ryan A. Elblein, CPA, (@relblein on Twitter) Founder of Elblein CPA out of Clinton, Connecticut, who advanced 121 spots to land at #88 on this leaderboard release. Ryan has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Connecticut since 2019. After graduating University of New Haven with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Ryan spent five years working in the tax department of two different national accounting firms.
During his time in public accounting, Ryan worked on mostly pass-through entity and individual returns. He focused on the real estate, construction, and nonprofit industries and worked with consumer businesses (restaurants, gyms, etc.).
In 2019, Ryan left public accounting to work as a controller for a real estate developer. Later in 2021, he started Elblein CPA to use his knowledge of both public accounting and private industry to assist his clients in meeting their compliance needs and growing their business.

How the leaderboard works: The Accounting Top 100 social media leaderboard uses an algorithm that scores and ranks users based on five separate metrics, each of which is weighted according to its perceived value. These five metrics are calculated every two weeks and combined to form a Power Score: a 1-100 value based on Rise.Global’s Relative Scoring Method. This Power Score determines a user’s rank on each new leaderboard release.
